Collagen is an essential structural part of the skin that provides the area with volume and resilience. It is naturally lost as we age, leaving the skin to droop and form lines and wrinkles. Thanks to the extensive wrinkle reduction of Radiesse® filler, collagen is naturally restored, leaving the skin smoother and more youthful.
Radiesse® Dermal Filler
Radiesse® is an FDA-approved dermal filler that is made of calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres suspended in a gel. It is used to treat visible signs of aging and augment the shallow contours of the face and hands. This filler stimulates the natural production of collagen, a protein which aids in maintaining the skin’s structure. It also restores the natural and youthful appearance of the face and hands.

How Does It Work?
The treatment can be done in 15 to 30 minutes. Radiesse® is injected into the target areas beneath the skin. It connects tissues, such as collagen, that is formed around the microsphere to immediately add volume to the treated area. The microspheres are suspended in the gel, which is then absorbed and metabolized by the body, leaving only the naturally formed collagen. This results in smoother and suppler skin.
What Areas Can Be Treated?
Radiesse® is used for facial contouring and non-surgical rhinoplasty. It can be injected in the following areas of the body:
- Hollow temples
- Corners of mouth
- Deep creases and folds along the nose and mouth
- Nasolabial fold
- Marionette lines
- Back of hands
Radiesse® can also be administered on shallow and recessed scars in order to correct these areas.

How Long Does it Last?
Results can be seen immediately after the treatment, as treated areas will have a noticeable lift and smoothness. Its full effects will become visible in about a week. Radiesse® is not easily broken down, making its effects long-lasting, but not permanent. While it can last from 9 months to 2 years, occasional touch-ups may be necessary in order to maintain results.
What Are the Benefits of the Treatment?
Other than age, factors such as muscle movements, fat loss, gravity, and sun damage can greatly affect the skin and cause premature aging. With Radiesse®, the effects of age and other skin damaging elements can be reversed. After the treatment, your skin will look and feel young due to the reduced appearance of fine lines and wrinkles.
